What I’m Watching & Looking Forward To On Netflix This October!

Niamh

As you know, I’m a part of the #Netflix Stream Team and if like me you are a complete TV & movie nut, then you’ll know that Netflix is life!

That sounds very deep of me, but seriously it’s right up there with the invention of the wheel and the wet wipe in my book!

So this month, there is a real bevy of great viewing to be getting on with and lots of it with a spooky feel to it too. There really is something for the whole MammyBlog clan.

What will you be watching? Let me know in the comments below! #NetflixStreamTeam

For the Little Dude –

Word Party Series 3 : Now Streaming

He is 10 months now and adores the antics of Bailey, Franny, Kip and Lulu. I must admit Mammy also has a soft spot for these cuties.

Super Monsters: Streaming October 13th

This could be right up the little dudes street! It sees six preschool kids whose parents are the world's most famous monsters try to master their special powers while preparing for kindergarten.

For Mammy and Daddy

Stranger Things : Streaming 27th October

Yup! The breakout hit of last year is back. I cannot wait to re-channel my inner 80s kid with as much nostalgia, scares and mystery I can handle. What happened to 11? Will Barb be mentioned? What adventures will the plucky kids get up to next? How does Will cope after coming back from the Upside Down? All will be revealed on 27th October just in time for a Halloween binge!

1922 : Streaming October 20th

Stephen King is all over Netflix recently with Gerald's Game (see below) and there’s another spooky Netflix original adaptation coming our way on October 20th . Described as a ‘gothic heartland horror,’ with a nod to Edgar Allen Poe, the story is about a farmer who pens a confession admitting to his wife's murder, but her death is just the beginning of a macabre tale of guilt-driven psychological terror.

Mindhunter Season 1 : Streaming October 13th

This looks like it could be a cracker and very binge worthy! An agent in the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit develops profiling techniques as he pursues notorious serial killers and rapists.

Gerald’s Game : Now Streaming

This Stephen King adaptation is now streaming and we got to sit down and watch it the other night. It was very surprising in that it was much more of a psychological horror story than you’d expect. The premise is fantastic… a couple getaway to their beach house to spice up their sex life with some handcuffs. The husband handcuffs wife to the bed, then keels over leaving her stuck there. Of course this is Stephen King so expect some strange twists and turns.
